J Balvin, born José Álvaro Osorio Balvín on May 7, 1985, is a Colombian singer often hailed as the "Prince of Reggaeton." With over 35 million records sold globally, he is among the top-selling Latin artists. Balvin, originally from Medellín, moved to the United States at 17 to learn English, residing in Oklahoma and New York. Upon returning to Medellín, he garnered popularity by performing in local clubs.
