King's College Choir of Cambridge

Established in 1441 by King Henry VI, The Choir of King's College, Cambridge, maintains its daily singing tradition. Under Daniel Hyde's direction, it's famed for the global Christmas Eve broadcast, Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols. Early statutes emphasized education for choristers, and in 1479, Provost Walter Field enriched the choir's musical legacy.
