N.W.A (Niggaz Wit Attitudes), an American hip-hop group from Compton, California, was active from 1987 to 1991. N.W.A has sold over ten million units in the US. Their inherently political music drew on personal experiences of racism and police brutality, sparking controversy over their deep hatred of the police system. The group is widely considered one of the greatest and most influential in hip-hop history.
