Nada Surf

Nada Surf, a New York City-based alternative rock band formed in the 1990s, originally consists of Matthew Caws, Ira Elliot, Doug Gillard, and Daniel Lorca. Initially known as Helicopter, they changed to Nada Surf. Their debut album, "High/Low," produced by Ric Ocasek, featured the successful single "Popular." Despite label challenges, they self-released their follow-up, "The Proximity Effect."
