Walk the Moon

Walk the Moon, is an energetic American pop rock band based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Lead singer Nicholas Petricca established the band in 2006 during his time at Kenyon College, drawing inspiration from The Police's "Walking on the Moon." Widely known for the hit "Shut Up and Dance," they incorporate 1980s musical elements, including keyboards and synthesizers, citing influences like Talking Heads, David Bowie, The Police, Tears for Fears, and Phil Collins.
