Waylon Jennings

Waylon Arnold Jennings (June 15, 1937 – February 13, 2002), a pioneer of outlaw country music, began his musical journey at an early age. He played guitar, formed the Texas Longhorns, and recorded his first session arranged by Buddy Holly. Jennings, known for his distinctive voice, achieved success after joining RCA Victor in 1965. His critically acclaimed albums include "Lonesome, On'ry and Mean," "Honky Tonk Heroes," "Dreaming My Dreams," and "Are You Ready for the Country," showcasing his impactful role in shaping the outlaw movement.
