Yusuf Islam

Yusuf Islam, formerly known as Cat Stevens and born Steven Demetre Georgiou; 21 July 1948, is a British singer-songwriter and musician renowned for his folk, pop, and rock hits. His albums, including "Tea for the Tillerman" and "Teaser and the Firecat," achieved triple platinum success. After converting to Islam in 1977, he took a hiatus from music to focus on philanthropy. In 2006, he returned to secular music and received induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.
