ZZ Top, an American rock band, originated in Houston, Texas, in 1969. Led by vocalist-guitarist Billy Gibbons, drummer Frank Beard, and bassist-vocalist Dusty Hill (until his death in 2021), the trio maintained their signature blues-based sound. Renowned for witty lyrics and synchronized appearances, Gibbons and Hill, characterized by sunglasses and beards, contributed to ZZ Top's distinctive style during their 51-year history.
